Own Your Own Island

OWN YOUR OWN ISLAND
Want to claim an island and start your own country?

There are hundreds of thousands of tiny islands spread throughout the oceans of the world, many of which are uninhibited and waiting to be claimed. Many of these islands are built up from oozing volcanoes bringing forth magma and Earth core materials, including rare metals to the surface, some of which are rich in valuable ore deposits waiting to be mined and claimed.

Don't choose any island too close to land, or the adjacent country will supersede you with their own claim on the island and surrounding water. The Earth is continually geologically active and volcanoes are continuing to make more and more islands, so the cycle is never ending. There are additional benefits in the form of grants and investment money to those who can show a serious effort to establish their own country for development of their island. This may include the development of roads and infrastructure, water development, housing and energy sources.

There are other good sense rules to follow. Island selection should take place during lunar high tide, and be sure to calculate the highest height of waves from typhoons and other bad weather storms. The island must be elevated high enough so as not to go underwater at these times. Islands always have the danger from impending rogue killer waves, tsunami, earthquake, and severe storms so emergency plans must be in effect at all times. It helps to choose an island not situated on the top of an active volcano.

It affords an opportunity to create a new high technology space age city with import gains from tourism. Access to the island by boat will sidestep the expense and eco damage of airports. Invest in non polluting clean technology.

Strategic island location nearest a populated region to minimize transit time will be beneficial. Choosing a latitude and longitude to minimize heating and cooling will be helpful. A sunny location can facilitate solar panels.

The minimum number of homes can be small and isolated to their own solar grid for electricity. Water waves and wind can also generate electricity. Some of the greatest science can be accomplished from an observatory at this location to study the night sky and deep ocean life. Apartments will be needed to host visiting research scientists. Marine biologists will also want to study the region and oceanographers will map and categorize benefits of the reef and evolving island geo-activity, bringing in more activity, trade, and investment.

Conservation will be an important part of your island plan, such as the planting of new trees and useful vegetation. Edible coconuts and natural fruit and berry bushes and trees will serve as a food supplement and attract birds that will keep down the bug and mosquito populations. The island could have one 7-11 stockpile store for all your needs. Boat will provide shipping needs and transport people to and from the island. Internet is by satellite service. Home lighting may be provided by resettable pendulum weight generators. Other challenges will need to be solved regarding cooking stoves and a waste disposal system.

Food will primarily come from the ocean, as fish, shrimp, crabs, clams, scallops, lobster, sea vegetables, etc. The Big Brain envisions large net machines that automatically traverse underwater and robotically collect fish.

Perhaps the Big Brain could occupy an entire island such as this.
